our first-ever golden makers market celebrating asian american, native hawaiian and pacific islander (aanhpi) businesses, makers, entrepreneurs and artists is taking place may 3-4, 2025 at SD made factory in east village, san diego! we have over 20+ small businesses, makers, community builders, artists and more coming together to celebrate and we’d love for you to be a part of it!
tickets are totally free (RSVP is suggested, so our vendors can best plan inventory, food, etc.) but we also have VIP tickets available (for entry 1-hour early before we open to the general public and a tote bag) as well as incredible workshops by and for the community!
SATURDAY WORKSHOPS
10:00 AM - japanese tea tasting workshop
by ESTE
This workshop will cover general tea knowledge and Japanese tea history. The tasting will consist of a sencha (green tea), wakoucha (black tea), then end with matcha and a sweet pairing. Tickets will include a tote bag and tea samples.
12:00 PM - the soulcare ritual: gua sha flow & release
This one-hour immersive session explores the Traditional Chinese Medicine principles behind gua sha, dispels common myths, and deepens your understanding of how this practice supports energetic and physical release.
01:30 PM - embracing yourself & your emotions
Embracing Yourself & Your Emotions is a 90-minute experiential workshop designed to help participants explore and process their emotions through a combination of movement, theater-based exercises, and guided journaling.
03:30 PM - perfume making workshop

In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will be able to choose from 30+ different scents in order to create their own roll on perfume! No experience necessary, ages 12+.
SUNDAY WORKSHOPS
10:00 AM - intentional charm jewelry workshop
by So Niice
Participants will learn how to create charms using semi-precious stones (first pick some from a charm bar with their intentions in mind) and beads, wire wrap, hand stamp and assemble gold-filled bracelets and/or necklaces.
12:00 PM - basic principles of ikebana workshop
by Vy Atelier
By the end of this workshop, participants will learn basic techniques and styles used in ikebana and how to identify color choices by deriving inspiration from everyday life and nature.
02:00 PM - collective healing through the art of yoga + sound
Let's celebrate our identities and experiences through an exploration of the mind and body with yoga + sound. A gentle movement flow, for all levels (beginner friendly).
04:00 PM - spiritual + energetic maintenance
Through the lens of Filipino (Hilot), Chinese (TCM) & Indian (Ayurvedic) cultural medicine & spirituality, you will learn ways to cleanse, relax, protect & maintain your personal wellness physically, mentality, energetically, & spiritually.
